Copyright & Takedown
pools never hosts beatmap files. How to report a copyright concern about a saved pool, and where to send a DMCA notice.
Copyright and DMCA
pools never hosts beatmap files: a pool holds only its name, details, notes and the maps on it.
Our designated agent for copyright notices is haruhime@haruhime.moe.
A takedown notice should include
- your contact information;
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the URL or page the material appears on;
- a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized;
- a sworn statement that you're the rights holder, or authorized to act for them;
- your physical or electronic signature.
A counter-notice should include
- your contact information;
- the material removed and where it appeared;
- a sworn, good-faith statement that it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your consent to the jurisdiction of your local courts, or haruhime.moe's;
- your physical or electronic signature.
Sources
#Past pools come from the public export of otdb, by Sheppsu, used with his permission, or from tournament hosts and community members, whom Disclaimers says more about. A pool page names its sources.
Beatmap files
#pools never hosts beatmap files. The all-maps search and a pool's star ratings, AR, OD, BPM and length come from the hinai mirror (mirror.hinamizawa.ai), which Disclaimers says more about. To report a beatmap itself, write to the mirror or to ppy Pty Ltd, not us.
